Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Runifit (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including coaches and clients.

2. Description of Service

Runifit is a fitness coaching platform that enables personal trainers and coaches to manage clients, create workout programs, track progress, and communicate through a mobile and web application. The Service also integrates with third-party wearable devices (e.g., Garmin) to sync fitness data.

3. Account Registration

There are two types of accounts on Runifit:

  • Coach accounts are created directly by the user during signup.
  • Client accounts are created by coaches on behalf of their clients. Clients receive an email invitation to access their account.

All users:

  • Must provide accurate and complete information.
  • Are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.
  • Must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • Are responsible for all activity that occurs under their account.

4. Coach and Client Relationship

Runifit facilitates the relationship between coaches and their clients. However:

  • Runifit is not a healthcare provider. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Coaches are solely responsible for the fitness programs and advice they provide to their clients.
  • Clients should consult a healthcare professional before starting any fitness program.
  • Runifit is not liable for any injury, harm, or damages resulting from workouts or coaching provided through the platform.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Upload or transmit harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.

6. Wearable Device Integration

Runifit may integrate with third-party wearable devices and services (such as Garmin). By connecting a wearable device:

  • You authorize Runifit to access the data specified during the authorization process.
  • You acknowledge that the availability and accuracy of wearable data depends on the third-party provider.
  • Runifit is not responsible for any issues arising from third-party wearable services.

7. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

Runifit offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (currently "Pro" and "Team") that unlock higher limits on active clients and coach seats. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

  • Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
  • Recurring billing: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. The plan, price, and billing frequency are shown to you before checkout.
  • Taxes: Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period and will not renew thereafter.
  • Refunds: Refund eligibility, time windows, and request instructions are described in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will take effect no earlier than the next renewal and we will notify you in advance.
  • Downgrades: If you downgrade or cancel a paid plan and your account exceeds the lower plan's limits, some clients or coach seats may become inactive until you remove them or upgrade again.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Runifit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written consent.

Content you create (workout programs, messages, etc.) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant Runifit a limited license to store, display, and process your content as needed to provide the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Coaches may archive or remove clients from their roster. Archiving a client preserves their data but makes them inactive. Removing a client ends the coaching relationship and frees the client to be added by another coach.

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us or through the app. Account deletion is permanent — your personal data will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Runifit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
